Not as fast as i would have like but it was nice to race. After the turn to the beach i started to swim off course a bit.

this is my worst leg of the race, race in and race out.. i've been working on my run since Jan. If i only do a run, my run pace is much faster, but as soon as i come of the bike, i just can't get it going. I know i could have run faster i just know it, but something in my head doesn't let me, i think i am going to blow up and have to walk, so i just let the people pass me by
What would you do differently?:

On a sprint race i need to just let it all hang out and run hard

Good job John!  You had a hotter day than we did. 

Next year, you should definately consider Philly.  I thought the organizers did an amazing job with the race.  Only real downside (other than the heat--can I blame my tire on that ) is the 2 loop course gets crowded for loop 2.  But it is nice for spectators.
