Age Group Rank = 2/5
Pre-race routine:

Typical breakfast.
Event warmup:

Stretched, and changed my plans on which race to run. Was going to run 10-miler, but still sore from Marathon so changed to the 3-miler
Run
  • 29m 35s
  • 3 miles
  • 09m 52s  min/mile
Comments:

Ran well. First mile was a shared course with the 10-milers; thus congested. Once we split off, much easer to pass.
Matthew caught up to me at mile 2 and passed me; and I could never quite catch up to him. He ended up beating me by 19 seconds.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

A little tired still from the Marathon.

Event comments:

A trail run is a fun diversion from normal road racing.

Course: This was a trail run. Fun to run a different kind of race, but a difficult course - constantly having to be aware and plan for the footing. Also, always either up a hill or down a hill
