Comments: Time reported here is Garmin data, not Sportstats - my Garmin had the course at about 150 metres longer, and Sportstats added 9 seconds to my time - I'm grumpy, but it seems petty to appeal! Net downhill - I tried to take advantage of the downhills and just tried to keep refocusing on my form. When I did that, I would pass the people who passed me. If only that could be more natural. What would you do differently?: I don't think I'd do much differently - maybe get to the corral earlier so that I didn't spend so much time weaving around people. Drink a bit more. Post race
Warm down: Found my parents who were here visiting from Nova Scotia. Waited for my friend, we got our medals and some food and then attempted to head home, only to discover that the subway was shut down. Had to call the long-suffering husband again to come and get us. What limited your ability to perform faster: I'm pretty pleased with this race. I know it's mostly downhill and everyone PRs on this course, but it was kind of sweet to break a 5 min/km pace. Event comments: Great race - nice and fast! Will probably do it again next year. Last updated: 2010-04-16 12:00 AM

Had smoothie and coffee, the ever-patient husband drove me to my friend's and we picked her up. He dropped us just below Lawrence and we walked down to the start.
Walked a bit.
