Swim
Comments: The swim is not my strong point. I really thought I was swimming better than my time displays!? What would you do differently?: Practice drills. Transition 1
Comments: There was a mom and her child right next to me in the transition area, and they were not very kind about letting the athletes who were racing get to their bikes and gear. I (along with a few others) had to try to get around them to get to my bike and then had to sqweeze my bike and myself back around them to get out of the TA. This slowed a few of us down. What would you do differently?: I will probably say something next time if this happens again. I do realize that this is just a sprint race and there is no prise purse on the line and that it is meant to be fun, but it is rude to prevent others from getting in and out of the transition area. Bike
Comments: part of the way was a tailwind, the rest was a pretty strong headwind. Very flat course. Transition 2
Comments: This was a bad transition for me...first I went to the wrong rack, so I had to turn around and on my way out I got my pedal hung up on the bike rack. I finally got to my rack and when I put my bike up on it the leg came out of the rack so I had to hold the whole rack up with others bikes on it and put the leg back in the rack. I thought for sure I had been in T2 for 5 minutes! What would you do differently?: none of the above:) Run

Woke up at 5:30am, drove from Findlay, OH (where we were staying for GOBA) to Maumee Bay, set up transition, got body marked, and put on wetsuit for warmth! (it was very windy) Pre-race prayer. No breakfast or coffee so my stomach wouldn't get upset.
Some jogging and stretching.
