I think this race has got to be fun. I wonder after finishing if anyone gets an 14.06 tat, or an M-dot tat that is 1/10th the normal size.

I did this tri last year.  It was their first time doing it I believe as well as my first tri ever.  I loved the race.  It was well organized and they handed out finishing medals to everyone.  It's a fun sprint if anyone is looking for a sprint.  I finally got my wife to try a tri.  This will be her first one.

Oh dear. What kind of taper should I do? Do you think a 2 week or a 3 week taper is proper.

Hmmmm, 1/10th, so instead of a 3 week taper, it should be 2.1 days, right?

2.1 day taper, 1/10 the amount of carbs, 1/10th the amount of body glide, you won't believe the size of the gel packet you need to take

Instead of a wetsuit you only get to use the calf warmers made out of neoprene, right?

I'm thinking about it.  If I have a good bike ride tomorrow morning, I may just pull the trigger at the last second.

I got the same email my friend.  In the time it would take me to drive out there, compete and get back home, I could hit the W&OD for 25+ miles.  I may need that more.

Thanks for reminding me though.

Yeah, it was a good time. I guess anything counts but I got 2nd in my AG. Still counts, no matter the race, right? I was incredibly bummed not to get my 14.06 sticker. I made room for it on my kegerator and everything. Most laid back race I have ever done. 1/10th actually, or would it be 10 times more laid back.

Any chance anyone tracked mileage on the bike? It had to be short. I never restarted my bike computer from my last ride.

Dunno, I don't use my Garmin during races.

Last year that bike course went all the way to the police station at the 4th turn around and it was a measured 12 miles so I'm betting this was darn close to 11 miles as a correct distance.

The run was short, though.

The bike course was short.  My bro-in-law had his garmin on and when he came around for the last loop his said 9 miles.  He thought he was only on the second loop and did a full extra loop.

How did you guys/gals do?

Damn, I was hoping the run course was exact or at least pretty darn close. I was happy with my run time. I heard someone else say 10.15 miles for the bike course.

I think the run was short by a a couple tenths.  We ran the course last week and it was 1 tenth short.

There's no way in hell I was doing 7:52/Mi. I would agree to 9:00 or, because it was a really good day and short race, 8:45. Someone would have to really convince me I was <8:00/Mi before I believed it, though.

I'm guessing the run was 2.3-ish.

According to mapmyride.com one loop is 3.6 miles so that would be 10.8-ish. I could deal with that as well
