Started the ride with Tim, Jonny and Tim's friend from work, Scott. I figured the guys would drop me, but I also thought I would try to keep up with them. The first half of the ride was going to be with a tailwind, and the second half with a headwind. I wanted to keep up with them so I could hopefully draft off someone after mile 30. Ha!

Overall a good ride. Tim was very kind and left me draft off of him most of the time. Which made the ride bearable. The wind was brutal. There were times we were going 14 mph into the headwind and flying past people. Yeah.

Going up a hill and into the headwind, at 8 mph, we were flying past people. Brutal day of wind!

The hills were fine, but small. No big hills. I like hills, so I was a little disappointed there were not more hills.

At the end we went to get food, but there was a LONG and slow moving line, so we left and ate on the way home.

Overall a nice bike rally. The organization who put it on worked really hard to make it a good one. I appreciate all their hard work. Parts of the route were not too desirable (aka: on a very busy two-lane highway), but that's how it goes in Texas.

I would do this rally again.
