No, I wouldn't. A CO2 inflator is nice, but not fool-proof. Also, glued patches are a PIA especially for a road side repair.

I use that inflator, it works OK except that it gets very cold and freezes when it's humid out. Small.

I usually carry 1 complete tube and try not to patch on the road. I also carry glueless patches which just stick on in case I bugger the first fix and need another (or a second flat). I carry 2 cartridges. I go without tire irons as I can change my tires with my fingers, but that's a skill only you cna decide that you're comfortable with.

Buy it piecemeal and avoid the glued patches. The glue dries out and then you're SOL.

I've also had minimal luck with patching tubes, even at home in the garage.  I carry a spare tube, tire levers, CO2 inflator, pump (when not racing).

And a cell phone if the above aren't sufficient.

x2 on a glueless patch kit (along with CO2 and a spare tube, natch). Here's what I carry with me (it's tiny): http://www.parktool.com/products/detail.asp?cat=82&item=GP-2

Yup, glueless patches are the way to go.  Super small, 0 hassel and can be put in and forgotten about in the bottom of your bag.  They are considered and absolute last resort to me.  Just something to hopefully get me home in the event I get a second flat.  I wouldn't want to be dealing with glue while out on a ride.

I'll 3rd or 4th the Park glue-less patches. I've been using them for years and they hold-up. I have used them quite a bit on the MTB and they will last as long as your tube. Actually, I've never seen one fail.
Slime is also selling a glue-less patch kit.
