Subject: RE: Texas 4000 Atlas Ride-anyone in for this? Wife & I rode the 70 year before last; there were several tri bikes out, including hers. We loved this ride, good cause, quiet roads (some very rural and a little rough ), friendly dedicated volunteers, and awesome post-ride. About the only downside I saw was a short segment of the ride on a sidewalk (maybe they adjusted the route ) and the bike transport back to Cedar Park was a little concerning (the trailers they hauled the bikes in didn't accommodate my big bike or bikes with aero bars that well ). It was great to chat with and hear some of the past riders talk about their experiences and to feel the sense of cause on the current year's teams. |
