Subject: On the Run! Again!
Well, it's getting warmer out again and I am getting into the summer training groove. Just moved to the San Francisco area and am looking for some good events to try. New to Triathlon's but not for the competition arena. Also looking for a training partner. I live in Alameda and love Mountain biking as cross training/competition. I do need quite a bit of help in the swimming. I seem to sink like a rock so the longer swims wear me out! (work in progress)

Welcome!  Just keep swimming,  As long as you are swimming, you aren't sinking.

Hey Adam--

I hail from Berkeley. Welcome to the area! What kind of tri's are you training for? I and my training buddy (friend Eileen) do a lot our long distance training together--weekend bike rides, BRicks, etc.

We are about 3 weeks away from our Oly and we're both training for a 1/2 IM in August (The Vineman)

But don't be intimidated (if you are!!) We are, despite our chutzpah, pretty amateurish and slow! But we are game. We have another training partner in the South Bay who often joins us for some of our long distance stuff--but we aren't that helpful to him as he is a hard core, fast cyclist. We definitely fail to challenge, but it's good to have folks to work with and be accountable to.

If you are looking for something more set in stone, there are several tri clubs in the area.

How long have you been in the area??

Dana btw, welcome!!
