Pre-race routine:

My son and I stuffed down some oatmeal and I had some coffee.
Event warmup:

A bit of stretching.
Run

Comments:

Ran with my son, Quinten! This was so much fun!! Honestly, he hasn't ran, neither have I, so I anticipated some jog/walk. My son was on a mission. We ran the entire 4 miles and I even had to ask him to wait for mom ;)

I'm SOOO proud of my son; he had a 13min pace!!! I constantly encouraged him, at least until he told me to stop!
"Ok, mom, I heard you the first time, be quite!".....HA!

Warm down:

Anchor Fitness gave roses to all the women who ran, so it was a nice surprise to be handed a red rose after my run.....very sweet! Took the Anchor Fitness top off and sported the Donkey!! Walked over and nibbled on a banana and Q found some cookies and water!
My BFF from San Diego is in town, so chatted with her and Raytown Pete!! Had a beer, ya know cuz its free :)
