abqtj - 2010-07-06 10:51 PM Here's a crappy video from this evening...yes, it was windy/gusty

Took that with my cell (Droid), not terrible quality, considering it's a phone.

I thought that looked like Albuquerque where are you somewhere around 9 mile hill?  It's hard to tell with the limited view.

A view from one of my favorite bike routes:

The creek trail that runs through Santa Rosa. We have a gate in our backyard that lets me out onto the north end of the trail. I can run all the way to the end with only a few street crossings.

TriRSquared - 2010-06-24 12:39 PM Some aerial photos... 15 miles down one way Longboat Key with only 1-2 traffic lights.

Below: This is our "hill".  Not that bad to ride up but doing bridge repeats is puke inducing... The thin stretch of land in the background (top) is Longboat (shown in the top photo)

Here is the view from my in-laws house in Longoat Key.  Love to run this beach!

Couple from the weekend, we are luckily to have a great local trail system.

Did a 16 mile point to point run with my wife, only on the road for an mile. And that was in our neighborhood heading back to the house.

First ~5 miles are climbing
Then rolling ridge line with great mountain views
Then 2.5 miles step down hill
~ 5miles back home, 4 of that at -2% grade on hardpack gravel/dirt trail (so nice to run on)

I live minutes away from Antelope Island State Park located in the Great Salt Lake, Utah. Since its a State Park, speed limits are low and closely monitored by the park rangers, etc. This makes it a great SAFE place to train on the bike and run (trail and road)! I buy an annual pass every year and use it several times a week all year long...
