Some aerial photos... 15 miles down one way Longboat Key with only 1-2 traffic lights.

Below: This is our "hill".  Not that bad to ride up but doing bridge repeats is puke inducing... The thin stretch of land in the background (top) is Longboat (shown in the top photo)

awesome Susan!  you have been doing some great rides lately.  for those that do not know...this lake is at over 10,000 feet elevation.  and there is a road you can ride (another 13-14 miles) to above 14,000 feet to the top of Evans in the background.

Ha!  Been there many times.  Have you done the climb to the top yet on the bike?  I have... ONCE...  I would do it again now that I'm in better shape.

Every area has it's own beauty (even Las Vegas!).  Let's see some of your local ride/runs.  It may help give ideas to people if they ever visit!

I hope you play along and I will go first...

It is a nice ride too bad it is going to be over 100 all week.

Yeah but at least it's a dry heat.  Wink

I've been out training everyday in Vegas and haven't been overwhelmed by the heat. However, I am out there at 5am when it's only 85.

HAHA, I lol'd! I actually use this pic as my "Employees in Action" pic at REI...maybe I'll print this one out and post it there instead.

...but you do know that the monster is in Loch Ness, not Loch Lomond, right?

Great thread! Here are a couple of San Diego offerings. The first is on Harbor Island with a great view of downtown. The next is from the Cabrillo National Monument looking down on San Diego Bay.

Not as spectacular as some of your's, but this is the west plains of Spokane late summer/early fall of last year. One of our favorite training grounds.

Great idea for a thread! I've often wondered how much greener the grass is where other BT folks train... Not much actual green here but lots of sun! The first two pictures were taken in Northern Arizona, at high altitude, where I live most of the time. I also train in Phoenix,  just 2 hours south but whole different climate at the lower altitude!

At the top of Arizona Snowbowl Rd, looking Northwest towards the Grand Canyon, a couple of days ago.

Here's one from my MTB commute, which I log as training since it takes 1 hour each way and is pretty exhausting.

And here is one from one of my favorite running routes, on South Mountain in Phoenix.
