Swim
Comments: This was my first swim outside of a pool so I was fairly happy with the results. This is my usual time in a pool. Swim is by far my toughest challenge mentally. I had many negative thoughts throughout the swim. Just had to fight through it. What would you do differently?: Practice more. From what I've been told my stroke looks good but I need to practice my "pull" under the water. It is a little weak. Transition 1
Comments: This time is wrong. I was in T1 for at least 5 minutes. Being my first tri i was taking my time. It went pretty smooth. What would you do differently?: next tri i will be faster since I know what to expect. Bike
Comments: Again, being my first tri I was taking it pretty easy. I could've pushed harder on the downhills and straight aways. Finishing was my goal What would you do differently?: Push harder, now that I know what to expect I can definatley decrease my bike times Transition 2
Comments: I was really chillin in T2. I even posed for a picture and went to the bathroom. :) Finishing the race was my goal What would you do differently?: Move faster in transition, don't pose for pictures and hopefully I won't have to go to the bathroom. Run
Comments: This is the only part I was a little disapointed in. It was very hot and i walked a little more than I should have. What would you do differently?: Train better for the run. i will be under 10 minute miles for my next race Post race
Warm down: Cold wet towel on my head, drank some water and walked around. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. I only trained for 3 months and was very out of shape when i started training. Now that I have an idea of what to expect and a better idea of how to train I see significant room for improvement Event comments: I am looking forward to my next race. I hope to break the 3 hour mark by the end of the year and to do the half ironman next year for this event. Last updated: 2005-07-08 12:00 AM

Had some bread with peanut butter and a bananna. Headed to transition area to get marked and receive timing chip.
Didn't do much warming up. Just soaked up the atmosphere and watched the other heats start.
