Caught the coverage last night.  My DVR caught it so we stayed up way to late watching.  I was disappointed that there was no AG coverage, but still thought it was good.

For me, I think the coolest thing watching was knowing exactly where they were at any given time.  I made the comment to my husband during the run part that they were not showing things in a logical order.  They would have a shot of them coming back up the Waterway after the out and back then the next shot would be them coming down the waterway.

Made no difference, but something I knew that most watching would not have caught.

Loving the pics of the ink.  For now I am sticking with the gold pendant I got Sunday morning.  But who knows what the future will bring.

If you signed up and raced IM Texas, read this. The WTC has made an unauthorized withdrawal from by bank account. I've been on the phone with them since Friday trying to get this straightened out. The person I've been dealing with now thinks that they automatically renewed my subscription to Lava Magazine. I just happened to catch this on friday while looking at my bank account online. Whatever method you used to pay for the race, go back and check that account to see if they did the same to you within the last month.

We thank you for your time and efforts, and we look forward to receiving your chip as well as seeing you at your next 5150, Ironman 70.3, or Ironman event.

My response:

Cameron,

My chip was taken off my ankle as soon as I crossed the finish line.  Sorry, it's not my fault or problem if it's missing.

i have a charge on my card as well from june 23rd.  i haven't purchased anything from them since the day after the race.  bank has been notified.  i called wtc to find out whats up... they had no clue.  it can't be for lava as its more than twice the two year subscription price.

That's the same date as my charge, and no merchandise purchases on that date.

That's also the same date as my charge of 13.28 When I contacted my bank, they said the transaction was authorized on may 20th and that I had to take it up with the WTC. A week and a half and they still can't seem to find the transaction in their books. I'm getting tired of the daily run around.

OK, mystery solved (for me at least). Thanks to your comment about the authorization dating to May 20th; and some additional help/info from fattyfat - I've found that the charge is for some tubes I bought in the bike shop area at the expo. Apparently the folks there misplaced some charge slips and didn't process them until they uncovered them at IM CDA, thus the delayed transaction date.

Hope you are able to resolve your issue as well...

I still haven't heard from the WTC about my charges but I suspect they are for the bike tent from the expo as well. Sorry if I caused anyone to panick, I just don't like seeing unexpected charges show up on my back account.

another update.... just got a call from the ironman bike shop director.  he apologized for the credit card issues and explained what went down, pretty much as told above.  that was cool of him to do.  its all good.  the two people i was communicating this week over at wtc were very helpful.

craig, thanks again for your help, that date was what solved all this.

I'm going to opt out on the next IMTX and hit IMSG in 2012. Good luck to all going back - it is a nice place.
