you know, i think you might be better off switching up your workouts a bit, your body might just be getting used to your workout... maybe add a bit more strength training or some higher intensity intervals ... i'm never sure it's a great idea to train on a big calorie deficit.

It feels so good to be under 200lbs again.  Now thinking about the next goal.  It is going to get harder, the closer I get to 190 which I think is my long term goal. 

My August goal will be 194lbs.

I always seem to get stuck right on the cusp of the next decade. I hovered just above 200 for a while. I also seemed to be stuck around 180 for a long time and seemed like I was around 170 for MONTHS. So I know your frustration. Good news is that once you pass a plateau, you usually have a couple weeks of good losses (at least that has been the pattern for me)

I agree with Nepthune, maybe switch stuff up a little. I got off my last plateau by switching up my eating. Got some new recipes and started eating different foods, recommitted to really weighing/measuring out my foods.

In terms of cutting out calories. Depends on how much you're eating now. But if you do cut back, I would make a couple smaller gradual cut backs. When I cut back by a lot of calories all at once I start to feel deprived which leads me to be crazied and resentful and totally pissed if I don't see the scale move (but that's just me ) I've had points in my dieting odeyess where just eating 100-150 calories less per day jump started the weight lose again.

Good luck. Stay the course. There's no way you can't continue to lose if you stay committed to being consistent with diet & exercise.

I was hoping for a good week since I had a long ride Saturday and that usually coincides with a loss but it didn't work out that way this time. I went up just over a pound. I'm not giving up hope though. I will continue to work toward my goal. The 31st is Saturday so that gives me a couple more days to get as close to my goal as possible.

214 this morning, down 1.8 for the week and 9 pounds for the month. 4 pounds more than my goal of 218!

August is going to be a  great month for me ( after that bit of indulgence at the beginning when I go to Summer Camp...at Camp Vegas)

So I'm definitely not going to reach my goal this month as I just got back from a last minute week long vacation to Bermuda.  Had a great time and I'm glad I didn't put on the typical 5lbs I normally do.  I did my best to eat reasonably and do a lot of walking and some swimming in addition to all the time we spent snorkeling.  Overall a great month with 3 top 5 finishes in the cat5 crits I did.  I have two more this weekend and then next month I have only one race at the end of the month so I should be able to reach the goal I had for this month then.

I'm a little slow posting my month end results. Not a bad month. Didn't make my goal but made progress. Not sure how I dropped almost two pounds in two days. I'll just call the weigh in on the 28th a bad day and move forward.
