Comments: Felt ok at the start but definitely went out too fast. First mile was just crazy people everywhere. I clocked a 6:22 which is way too fast for me in a 10K. So I tried to dial it back a bit. Then the hills came and my legs just shut off. Which was to be expected because I basically just trained right through this run with a longish run Friday and a tempo ride yesterday. I actually started to feel better between mile 4-5 even on the hills. I just started to settle in but my pace dropped quit a bit to mid 7's. It was a good run though and broke my goal time. What would you do differently?: If I wanted to do well in a stand alone 10K race I would have rested more coming into the race. I just trained right up to yesterday morning and didn't warm up for the event. Those two things hindered me. Post race
Warm down: Nothing. What limited your ability to perform faster: Trained too much coming into race and started off too fast. Event comments: I'll do this race again as a social race. Last updated: 2010-06-30 12:00 AM

Same as always. Ate around 6:30am and went to the race. Scrambled at the start to find a restroom. Wound up diving into a CVS and using theirs.
Lack of warm up hurt me. Although I didn't really care too much how I did in this race. I was just there for fun. I actually walked to the line with no warm up of any kind.
