Comments: Got a good start. Started front of the pack to the middle. A better position would be at the front on the left becuase you can run longer. Very comfortable w/the amount of jostling. Navigation went to hell towards second buoy but not catostrophic. What would you do differently?: Start more to the left. Stay on the left side of the pack throughout so that I can use others to maintain course and occasionally look up. I did this well at the start but towards the second buoy I drifted to the right and then spun out of control. Transition 1
Comments: Suit got really stuck. I need more body glide especially on the feet. Everything else went fast. In fact, I had to double check that I wasn't missing anything because I felt it went too fast. Still trouble clipping in. What would you do differently?: more body glide on feet Bike
Comments: Hammered the bike. There was a group for me to compete with for a change and it really held me accountable. Transition 2
Comments: Good transition Run
Comments: Very hot run. couldn't get the legs moving but at least I held a steady pace. Started my finish sprint two blocks too early by mistake. Woops. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Sighting in the water. Heat acclimatization. Last updated: 2010-07-07 12:00 AM

Wake up at 5AM in SS campground. Two waffles w/ peanut butter, coffee, banana, 8oz gatorade. No syrup on waffles this time. Left campground by 5:45 AM. Great timing. Got the best spot in transition. Set-up
Started warm up a bit earlier so that I could move along at a more relaxed pace. Ran around the lake, 15 minute spin on bike with high cadence and a couple of jumps up to 28mph. Wet suit on. out to buoy and back at swim finish a couple times then over to the start for one more short swim. Transition closes as 7:45 so you gotta be ready.
