I am "planning" on this race too!  a good one to see where I am at and how far to go before IMFL...of course, my plans this year just don't seem to be working out!  Life is what happens when you make plans, right?  Anyway I will train as though it is gonna happen

This really a great race for those who have not done it before.  Nice venue, course, and great volunteers- low key half in my opinion with not has many athletes as other half irons.  But this is what I like about it the most.  The only problem is it has changed to end of August which will make it a tough day in the heat. Run is a 2 loop, and much of it has no shade.

good stuff.  we have a low key half down here that is awesome.  i have IMTX out on the horizon so the heat and the non-wetsuit is why i really want to make it to this race.

OK I AM sure I am the only one that missed the memo.  However, no shirt this year?  I heard they were mailing them, we were not getting a shirt.  Anyone know one way or another.  I actually would rather not get a shirt and have set up continue the race.  I know they lost money with the low turn out - but I really like the sc half.
