Transition 1
Comments: The best thing about my transition was removing my cap and goggles. It went downhill from there. I thought I did it fast but I was unorganized. I took too long to get my socks on and I did not run w/my bike or jump on. I got up to speed okay. What would you do differently?: Pay more attention to transition. Practice sequence of things to do. Maybe not wear socks on bike? Bike
Comments: I went the wrong way on the bike course after the first loop which cost me about a minute or two. I felt pretty good on ride. I was over 22 mph on a majority of 3rd loop. I wish I had another loop to improve my average! What would you do differently?: Pay more attention to course! Transition 2
Comments: Again, I was not organized. I did not have a specific plan during transition. I felt very rushed and was out of breath and felt stressed. What would you do differently?: Have a plan! Calm down as I am going through transition and get mentally ready to run. Run
Comments: My Calves were on fire for the first mile. I kept running through it. I wanted to push to stay at 10 minute miles. I walked through aid station. Pushed it at the end. What would you do differently?: RELAX!!!! I felt stressed most of the run. I think it started in transition. Post race
Warm down: I drank a cup of Gatorade then water. I did no stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: I used too much caution throughout the race. During the run my legs were very tight. I got to the race site super early - they were still setting up. I had to go to the porta potty 3 times before we finally started! Laid out all of my race gear - my tri back is way to big for this area - I won't take it next time.
Jumped in the pool and did several laps to warm-up. I really didn't stretch or anything.
