Windsor Triathlon

Hey Buddha,  I am doing the race as well.  It will be my third triathlon this year/ever.  I haven't done it before so cant give you any advice about the course.  But I am looking forward to it, good luck.

I will be there too.  This is my third training season.  The race is really cool as there is an elite division which is fun to watch.  The course is flat and the water is shallow.  Last year was pretty hot and I hope it will be better this year.

I will be wearing the WTC uniform (Windsor Tri CLub).  If you see me come say hi!

I believe they have changed the course up a bit this year , but definitly flat and fast!

When you say the water is shallow, does that mean you may not have to swim the whole way or could stand up if winded?  Also, do you or did anyone wear a wetsuit at this race last year because I was thinking of wearing one but didn't know if I should or not?

I'm also thinking about the Windsor one.  I'm a newbie and did my first TryATri last month.  Would like to move up to a sprint.  Swimming is my weakest part.  Been training in the open water.  Wondering if the 800m swim for Windsor is shallow enough to touch bottom.  Will be using a wetsuit.  Any advice would be helpful.

I'm wondering how shallow the water will be as well since it's my first time.  All I have is a full sleeve wetsuit so I pray that it's not super hot at the beginning of the swim!  Any advice on how to navigate the swim portion of this course would be very welcome.
