Googles fell of on the first stroke. Wasn't comfortable in the water. Didn't have faith in my swimming ability.

Need to be much more comfortable at swimming

Have things more laid out. Make sure my water bottle fits on bike.

Yo fish, nice job at Seafair. Sounds like the swim leg did a pretty good job at messing up your rhythm, but don't worry--it happens to everyone and it will get better with experience.

Your swimming will get better with more time in the pool.  You probably passed me on the bike.

nice job!

I totally agree on running the run course ahead of time...that hill was, well, totally unplanned for

but yea, I'm going to ditto their comments -- the more time in the pool/lake, the more you'll feel comfortable. I did my first real open water swim in lake washington last friday (two days before the race) and it was very surprising just how different it was from the pool. So go out and take a dip!
