I like the idea, but as a woman living in NYC, I'm not willing to run alone outside past dark, and the pools close by 10:30. But, there are 24 hour gyms . . . hmmm, must think about this idea.

When do you sleep?

Between 11:30-ish and 5:30-ish. Can't you see the huge gap of free time there?

Nope, cause I am asleep or running during those times : )

and you can keep a tally of how many laps around the neighborhood you've run on the neighbors dirty PT Cruiser (not that I have ever done that....)

I'm amazed by how little sleep some of you can survive on. I go to bed between 9:30 and 10:00 and either get up at 4:30 or 5:00 for my morning workout. With this much training, I need the minimum 7 hours of sleep. My evening workouts are usually between 7:30 and 8:30 so I can make it to bed on time.

The few midnight runs that I have done (back in the college cross country days) were great. Very pieceful and nice cool weather.

I beginning to think my wife is right, triathletes are wacko's

My opinion about sleep is... if you need an alarm to wake you up, then you haven't slept enough!
