So I'd like to fit 2 sprints in before the end of the year.  My only option scheduling wise is to do them back to back weekends.  I'm fairly new to tris but have been training in some form or fashion nonstop for years.  Do you think I'll recover enough in a week to perform at a high level on the second weekend?

yes

I've done quite a few sprints back to back, without cutting down my training between, no noticeable suffering performance ... although YMMV.

I think it varies from person to person but I did a sprint two weekends ago and then an olympic the following weekend.  I didn't feel like the sprint the previous weekend impacted my race in the olympic at all.

I would say it depends on your base.  Last year there is no way I could do it, but this year I wouldn't think twice.

Thanks guys.  Just needed some reassurance.  My base is solid and I feel like I could go now after racing last weekend so I guess I'm gonna give it a go.
