Is anyone else having a hard time getting their training in due to the hurricanes?  I've been a surfer my entire life and the past week or so has been brutal on me.  We have had good/fun waves everyday and I've been skipping out on my scheduled training to go surf.  There are 2 more potential storms behind Earl.  This is going to drastically hurt my training for B2B!

I thought that you were going to blame rain or something due to hurricanes for not being able to train.  Surfing instead of training is just priorities.  I am not even saying your priorities are messed up, they thust are what they are.

You obviously don't live in the Raleigh/Durham area. We haven't had good waves at all lately! Must be the hurricanes!

Supposed to be heading to the OBX this weekend and have a 50 mile ride scheduled.  May have to re-think things!

I think you will be fine.  I managed to pull myself away from the waves this morning and check the path forecast.  It looks like it should be out of here by friday afternoon.  So come on down and enjoy the coast.  We love to share it with people, just so long as you remember to treat it right so it stays clean and pristine for the next visitors.

I think I'm going to take the afternoon off so I can get in a few more waves before the big gnarley stuff starts pushing in.  It's head high right now and as a 30-something father of 2 and loving husband of a stay at home wife, that's getting close to the upper limits of my comfort level.  Since I'm the "bread-winner" I can't afford to end up laid up in the hospital due to gettting crushed by a huge wave.
