started at front of wave - since I usually rank decent compared to other racers - I usually stay at the back and let everyone go but tried a different approach and it seemed to work just fine

yeah - not too bad - i only like to start at the front when it's a point-to-point swim because then you don't have to worry about the buoys - but I figured I'd give it a try since the first buoy was far enough ahead most swimmers were spread out enough - overall it worked pretty well
