Welcome!  You should bump into a few other BT'ers up in the Tokyo area.  I always get excited when I see "Japan" but so far no one else is stuck on the same island as I am.  Most of them are up around your area.  Have fun.

Welcome. Anyone doing the Toyko marathon? 

I am running the Tokyo Marathon. I was originally training for four hours, but my training has gotten skewed by life and I do not think I will hold the needed pace the whole time. Most likely I will end u in the 4:20 or so bracket.

I'm a newb in Japan too! (Or, maybe you're not a newb, but I am. Either way, Hi! ) I'm signed up for my first tri this June. It's an olympic in my local prefecture called the Oshin.

Is anyone else signed up for this one? I've been given to believe it's popular, last year there were some people from Tokyo and a few other farther flung regions who came, so I just thought I'd ask.

Anyway, I live in Yamagata prefecture where I teach English. Been here over a year and a half. Sadly heading home at the beginning of August. Is anyone else here up in Tohoku? Or are most people rocking Tokyo metropolitan?
