I've hear people describe their morning cup of joe as 'Awsome'... grrrr. An appropriate use of the word is to describe this guy and his Kona finish.

All credit to him, I am in awe.

My wife and I saw him on Ali'i drive about 2 or 3 miles into the run in Kona and he was smiling and saying "80% mental, 20% physical" to the athletes and spectators around him.  He really is amazing!

Me too.

And an idiot for doing things to screw up a perfectly good body, when this guy has done so much more with so much less!!!

Yeah, didn't we have a discussion about him on here during Kona?  My brain is not keeping up with my body as we age.

Unbelievable individual.

This guy is amazing.  Think about what he could have done if he was not a triple amputee!

Sheesh probably rocking it with Macca?

As for me?  Ouch my achilles still hurts.

I'm not worthy!

I have four functioning limbs and I can't ride with both hands off the handlebars!  And that's the only way he can take a drink?  He has to take his hand off the handlebars so he can grab a bottle...wow.  I'd die of thirst.

I saw him run by 2x on Ali'i Drive while I was cheering on athletes. Very inspiring story. The first time he came by, everyone around me at the bar took one look at him and immediately got out of their seats and cheered their hearts out. He got more applause than Lieto or Macca. It was amazing.

Wow!!!  Amazing for sure.  Does anyone know if his story will be featured when the Kona 2010 race will be aired in December?  That would be an inspiring story to hear and see!!

This reminds the time where I was complaining and b*tching climbing this hill that I said I was done. A few days while driving in the car, I saw one legged cyclist climb that hill.

I proceeded to climb that hill the next day with my mouth shut.
