Made it Muncie, storm rolled through about an hour ago.  Glad we did not camp, it was coming down in buckets.  Staying at the Signature Inn as well, will look for my fellow BT'rs in the morning.

Thx CSharp...Hope everyone had a good day. It was a nice build to louisville....
5:15:01 Ok swim, crowded, no wetsuit, whatever. Bike rocked, good tailwind second half and "Bella" was a bit frisky in the corn fields of Indiana today. Solid run, faded a bit at mile 9 but still 12sec per-mile faster then Fastgusta (8:29 pace) on rolling hills. For a "B" race building to Louisville....im THRILLED!!!

Way to go Cube! I saw your car this morning but didn't see you That run was brutal! We have no hills in South GA so I was unprepared, but still managed to run a 2:01:31. My time was 5:48:41, it was my first HIM so I am happy with my time.

good race today, have to figure out what is up with my swim.. felt good but time didn't reflect it.. (taking out the 1-2 minute run up the hill to transition).

ended up with 5:56, was hoping for a 5:45 or so, but the swim hurt my time and my run was a 2:11 so not a great race but a good race.. PR though so have to be happy about it.

You guys are fast!  I was just under 7 hours, but for my first HIM, I couldn't be any happier.  The run was absolutely BRUTAL, but I survived it.

First time swimming in open water like that.  Had a couple of early panic attacks but settled in.  Once I got going and comfortable I found myself on the wrong side of the sail boats.  Thanks to the sailboat guy for helping me find my way back on course.  A hot day but a lot of fun.

Congrats all!  I really enjoyed this race.  It was my first HIM and a tune-up for Lou IM.  Coach told me to dial it back and focus on fueling and hydrating.  I swam below race pace on swim (pulled a 42min, then kept HR below 155 on bike (3:10) and ran straight thru (minus aid stations) to 8 mile then walk/ ran to 11, ran the rest to finish; avg pace w/o walking was 9min.  Felt strong the whole time and had to pee 3x.  I think the hydration plan worked!   Finished in 6:28:08 with plenty left in the tank.  hope this approach will help me through the rigors of Lou IM and the LaGrange/ us 42 loop hills.  see ya all in a couple of months.

This was my first HIM also, so I was thrilled to finish with a 7:02:44. I know I am way way way BOP for now, but I learned a lot and I have plenty of areas I know I can improve on.

I just can't get over how wonderful the volunteers were! Every aid station (especially on the run when I needed it most) was fully stocked and great attitudes from everyone!

I know I will be back for this event in the future; It was a weekend I will never forget.

I grew up on this course (literally) the run course goes right by my mom and dads house (the house i grew up in)  the little town (7 houses) we ran threw (New Burlington)...i have ran that same course thousands of time during High School and while training for this event and others so i knew exactly what to expect...or so i thought...i never ran that course in 83 degree heat after biking 56 miles.. ouch ....i did mine in 5:14:04...shooting for under 5 and i will get it next year....as long as io can stay injury free this time...I guess i will speak for Muncie and say thank you all who came and i hope your experiance in our city and county was a good one...thanks again
