Comments: Did ok going out to the surf but I got nailed coming back in wasn't paying attention to what was behind me and got caught on the top of a wave wich hammered me into the oceans bottom my googles were around my neck as I was fixing them I got nailed again. NO FUN!!! Saltwater doesn't taste very well!!! What would you do differently?: Pay attention to what is behind me when swimming back towards the shore!!!  Transition 1
Comments: transition felt good 1st time I biked without socks!!! What would you do differently?: I dont tink I would change my transition it went pretty smooth!!!  Bike
Comments: had no legs until about 4th or 5th mile. bad bike day for me should have been at least 7-9 mins faster. My avg speed was only 13.98 mph I am usaully closer to the 17.5 mph especially on such a short and flat coursE!!! Well it just wasn't my day on the bike!!! What would you do differently?: TRAIN!!!! LOL Transition 2
Comments: Was happy to get off the bike just not a good ride for me today.  Run
Comments: Run felt pretty good after the first mile . My time was below par but so was my bike. I feel I could have gone sub 24 mins with some proper training but what the heck I had a fun day and made my 3 yr old son happy!! What would you do differently?: push a little harder on run felt that i left some in the tank Post race
Warm down: took a little walk around with my son in the village drank a couple of waters! What limited your ability to perform faster: had not trained the last six weeks been working hard and long hours. I did this race because I needed to get out and have a good day of training to get me motivated again and my son kept asking me when I was going to race since we have gone and watched two other triathlons since I last raced. Event comments: next year I will beat this time by at least 12 mins!!!! TRAIN!!! TRAIN!!! TRAIN!!! Last updated: 2005-04-17 12:00 AM

Woke up got gear loaded in car. Then woke up my 3 year old son because he loves watching daddy race!!! ( Wow does that make me feel awesome )Stopped by Starbucks to get a coffee ate a couple of nutrion bars. Parking was a mess so we drove around for awhile before finding a spot. Unloaded and headed towards the transition area.
Stretced a little and took about a 4-5 min jog
