That does look like a fun time.  New and different.  Plus RU does put on some good races.  Have to sign up soon.   Sad that we have to sign up for late July races in December.

Wow, that is very very tempting.  My family has held a Mount Vernon Country Club membership for 50+ years.  It sure would be fun to do a tri there!

I saw this and it peaked my interest.  I was a little disappointed to see that the bike leg doesn't go all the way down and back up lookout.

Also, I'm not a big fan of pool swims, so I'll probably be passing on it.

I saw this one as well and think it looks like fun. I am uncertain if I will be doing it or not. I really need to get as much OWS experience as possible before imaz and already have one tri I'm planning on doing that's a pool swim.  We'll see though

If it had an open water swim, I would definitely do it. But, I did a tri with a pool swim once and I swore that I would never do one again! I had a really bad experience with the swim portion in the pool and I just don't want to potentially put myself through that again.

Just signed up!  I rode two laps of the bike course today and it's a fun loop.  I skipped the short section inside the country club because it appears to be a private road, but the rest was a fun rolling course.  One of the guys I work with has a membership at the country club, and he said he'll take me for a run up there once my achilles heals up.  I'll post a report.

Did anyone else get out for a ride today.  It was beautiful.  My girlfriend and I  parked at Red Rocks and rode up Lookout via the frontage road, did two laps of the course, then back to Red Rocks.  Got in about 35 miles and had a nice lunch in Morrison.  Sure beats sitting on the rollers.

I grew up in Mount Vernon Country Club and the run course goes right past my childhood home.  I still run up there on occasion and since we're still members I think I'll have to sign up.
Darrin always does a great job.
