My boss was gracious enough to give me the day off... Soooo who wants to train?!I'm thinking long run? 7-8 miles for me... All paces welcome, but let's all HTFU and get out snow or shine. We can decide on location and time for convenience...C'mon y'all... Last training day of 2010. Let's go out with a bang!

I've got the next two Fridays off (gov't holidays) and had been thinking of riding, if the weather is conducive.  Where were you planning to run?

I would be stoked to ride if we can get the weather to hold out a little longer. I'm up for any suggestions for locations for whomever is interested.I love running in Golden Gate Canyon and would suggest that but I realize its not the most convenient place...

Do the first 8 with us.. then finish up on your own.  Or the other way around.

Where and when?  I might be able to make it.  Not sure about the distance, but hey, I'd give it a try.

With Golden Gate are you referring to White Ranch?  I have the day off as well but I'm not certain I can get away.  When you have an exact time and meeting point please post and I'll see if I can join.  BTW, don't be discouraged if not too many peeps can make it...it is Christmas Eve.

I could probably be up for that, and would love to see everyone!

Waterton Canyon has reopened briefly (it is open until the end of January), if anyone is interested in running there (I always love running in the Canyon).  Otherwise, meeting at Goodson Rec and running along the Highline Canal is usually pretty a neutral location.

Great idea, Robyn... I think I'll be in for a run.  I'm running the Surf City 13.1 in February and training has been lacking.... you know how to reach me- let's make this happen!

TriOK - that's a great idea to run the first part with all of you!! The Highline Canal is always a great place to run...it's pretty, nestled in among the trees, and has a great soft, running surface! Just a thought!

Bottomless mimosas afterward?  Just cut me off after the third time the waitress refills me.  Seriously.  I've already learned this lesson the hard way.  And this girl starts to speak in third person when she gets drunk. You don't want that.  Trust me.

Haha!  I was wondering who you kept referring to as "SHE" when we were working the beer tent @ IM Boulder!  Cocktails sound like a blast- and I think the Highline Canal trail is a great idea.  It's not only beautiful, it's soft surface makes it easy on my 80-year-old knees.

Negatory, I'll be watching th Badgers stomp the toads in the Rose Bowl. And a head's up, Robyn also often refers to herself as "highness" somewhere between mimosas 2 and 3.

Time to break out the YAK TRAX!  YAY for snowy runs!

Mimosas might be switched to hot toddies or irish coffees.

So Highline Canal trail sound good for anyone else?  My favorite place to pick it up is right off Orchard, about 2 miles west of I-25.  Regardless of which direction you go (north or south) it's very scenic and has little in the way of hills.  Lots of watering holes in the Greenwood Village area for the celebratory post-run drinks, too.
