Comments:

The second mile was not great. I'm not sure if I just couldn't push as hard, or what. I was drafting off a guy, and nothing much happened. I tried to stay on the edge of discomfort. I'm not sure. If I had run the 2nd mile at the same pace as the other two, I might have made my 23 minutes goal. Oh well.

What would you do differently?:

Not drink or stay up late the night before.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not sure. Seems like my fitness is much better this year, but it's not translating into a faster top speed. I was only 5 seconds faster than last year, despite making huge gains in the past year. Maybe it just wasn't my day.

Event comments:

Slightly pricey. This used to be more of a bare-bones race. They spruced it up and jacked up the price, then kept changing the price online, which was annoying. I went in thinking it was $30, but it was $40.
