Pre-race routine:

Alarm went off about 4:50 am, ate a bowl of granola, was out the door by 5:40. Got out to Red Rock State Park paid entry before the registration line started. Looked around for co-workers who said they were going to run...guess I was the only one.
Event warmup:

Some light jogging, followed by some stretching. Tried to find some motivation.

Comments:

Course started at Red Rock Park, went north on HWY 566 and back. Started out fast, settled to comfortable pace and then increased slightly. Concentrated on form. Looked for people to pass.

Warm down:

Skipped stretching and drove support for brother-inlaw who was running the 1/2 Marathon.

Event comments:

Finished faster than anticipated. The Mrs. set a 5k PR.
