Subject: 5/3/2 trisuit vs. 5/3 trisuit
I was recently shopping online for a trisuit and found a 5/3/2 full trisuit but after i placed an order the seller said that particular suit was no longer available and offered upgrade to the same mfgr but in a 5/3.

It seems that the 5/3/2 offers greater flexibility...is the offer of a 5/3 really an upgrade? the same? is the 5/3/2 a better suit to have? Hmmm?

If I had to guess, I think the OP is talking about wetsuits.  If that's the case, the 5/3/2 or 5/3 is probably referring to the neoprene thickness.  To the OP, the construction of the wetsuit should allow for good flexibility in the shoulder area.  Make sure you're looking at triathlon specific wetsuits since they are constructed for swimming versus surfing style wetsuits, which I suspect, are constructed more toward providing warmth.
