hey folks...
I wanna get outside and ride but I live where it snows basically 5 months of the year so rather than buy another bike, want to know how feasible it is to slap big fat mtn bike tires (or even studded ones) on my Cannondale Silk Path hybrid.
Has anyone else done this for riding in the snow?

It depends on the brake clearance you have. You probably have linear-pull or cantelever brakes and could open them up a bit.  I would guess that a studded (35mm wide) will likely work, but I doubt that you could fit a 50mm+ (i.e. 2.1" or 2.5") mountain bike tire.  A quick look by the guys at your local bike store will sort it out fast.

as Mark said, you can go 700x35 at most,
Kenda sells one for about $75 a tire
