How's everyone's training coming along?  Oh wait...it's only me here.  Well, I took a couple weekends off after IM SG and just started back into things over the Memorial day weekend.  80 mile bike and a 16.5 mile run this weekend and 1x3000m earlier in the week.  not too bad a base from which to start my training, but it's still daunting training for this.

Ultraman Distance » Swim 10 km » Bike 420.6 km » Run 84.3 km

Saturday – Stage 1 – 10.0 km (6.2 mile) point to point swim starting in Penticton and finishing in Okanagan Falls, followed by 144.8 km (90.0 mile) bike ride, beginning in Okanagan Falls over the Richter Pass returning to Okanagan Falls.

Sunday - Stage 2 – 275.8 km (171.4 mile) bike ride, beginning in Penticton and ending in Princeton.

Monday – Stage 3 – 84.3 km (52.4 mile) double-marathon run from Princeton to Summerland.

Time Limits - Swim (Stage 1) must be completed in 6 hours plus bike in 12 hours total, bike (Stage 2) in 12 hours, run (Stage 3) in 12 hours. All athletes will be
timed with chip timing.

How's everyone's training gone?  Getting and pre-race jitters?

I've done a 170 mile bike ride in training, a 10,000m swim, neither which I've done before.  I think I'll take this last weekend to do a final back to back riding, probably 65+135 or so.  Then I'll start my taper.  Cnn't wait!

What an amazing race.  Great venue.  RD is great.  having to self-crew means your crew is really involved in your race, literally spending as much time out there as you do and are with you every mile of the race.  The talent of all the racers is incredible and I think I held my own.  I finished 11th out of 29 with total time of 29:18:44.
