My new employer doesnt allow bicycles on the mill site

Totally bummed, I kinda understand but then again i wanna ride to work. They will allow me to walk the bike through the mill site but its something like 3/4 to 1 mile where my job actually takes place and nowhere to store the bike. Its been allowed in the past but has since been not allowed for safety reasons. Heavy equipment and railroad tracks are the biggest issue. I guess they used to supply bikes to the workers for transportation throughout the mill but had too many accidents. Im just bummed and wanted to whine a bit.
