Swim
Comments: Ughhhhhh Killed the first 100 then paid. Then I somehow forgot how many laps I had swam, missed the last lap signal, and then had to stop and come back when I heard the cries of "YOU'RE FINISHED!!!!" What would you do differently?: Need to find an alternative place to swim while Kettering Rec is closed. Wright State works on the weekends but is too far out on the weekdays. Perhaps I should HTFU @ swim out at Caesar's Creek! Transition 1
Comments: Despite the extra strokes in the pool (which probably added some time here) I still smoked the transition. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition is my best discipline by far at these things. 4/26! Run
Comments: As usually with these swim-run races the first half of the 5K sucked and I felt great the second half. The transition from swimming to running is just difficult for me. I just feel out of breath and my heart is just racing that first mile or so. Then I settle in and get to work. What would you do differently?: Not lose my mind and run in a circle frantically thinking I was off course. Post race
Warm down: Wandered around searching for a locker room. Finally found one. Almost slipped and busted my ass in the shower. Realized I had forgotten boxers. Commando time! What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. Not sure what to do here. I feel fine while working out but now my Achilles tendon isn't feeling any better and my back is starting to act up again. Blergh. Event comments: I think Speedy Feet does a great job putting on year round affordable events that appeal to every level of triathlete. Last updated: 2011-02-13 12:00 AM

Woke up @ 7AM and had breakfast. Packed up everything I needed (with the exception of post race boxer shorts. Doh!) and headed out the door.
I jumped into the warm-up lane and swam for the first time in about a month (darn you renovations as Kettering Rec ... darn you!). And it hurt. Uh-oh!
