I'm in, too. I'm still working out my sport-related goals for 2012, but will definitely want the support from this group!

I put our group in the new mentor page, but you have to wait for them to release our page to the rest of BT.  I would say we can have all of us then add a few.  As we all know you can take approx 10 and maybe 3 will stick around more than a couple days.

As soon as they release our group I will notify you (or if you guys see it first let everyone know)

Skinny Brian, what marathon are you doing?  How has your training been going?

How is everyone else's training going?

Not much tri training going on for me as they still can't get my hamstrings to work and get rid of the pinched vert in my back.  We started our group spin class and that has went well so far just lack power.  Anyone else order the new P90x2 workouts, so far they are great for people in our sport as there is alot of core work and leg work.

Dave - great to hear from you.  Sorry to hear your injury is lasting so long.

Marathon training is going great.  I am in week 6, did a very hard speedwrok run this morning.  3 seperate miles at average pace of <6:50.  warmup, coojogs and cool made it 6 altogether.  Working my butt off in attempt to BQ.  I am registered for Glass City Marathon in Toledo on 4/22.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

If I'm in town I will shoot up there.  What do you have to run to "comfortably" get into Boston with the new rules?

Hey Team.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Skinny Arm - nice work on the marathon work my friend - awesome.

Not much going on here to be honest with everyone, just waiting for the new year, the new group start up and some nice training. My right foot is borderline and my physio guy gave me the green light to do a run today. I ran about 4 km last Saturday as a test on it with my new Newtons (awesome shoe) and it felt ok. Today, I stressed it a bit more and iced it after the run. It is a better, just not sure how much yet? I am off to the chiro tomorrow as well to get some results of a back x-ray he sent me for 2 weeks ago. He wanted to take a good look to see if there is anything we should be concerned with going forward since he is still working on my ulnar nerve and right hip issues - LOL, what a mess - I need to quit falling off my trainer!

I am sure I will check in with everyone before Christmas - but lets get the wishes started - MERRY CHRISTMAS.

KC

Good afternoon Team.

I hope everyone is ready for Christmas (if you celebrate Christmas of course) Smile

I was in to see the Chiro today - good news, we went over my back (vertebrae) x-rays and my spine is in great shape with real good spacing between discs. I guess that would mean I now have a full seven months to ruin that good news LOL. Laughing

Anyway, seriously, we now believe that my right hip issues etc are soft tissue issues that can be managed and corrected with a good routine of stretching, strengthening and maintaining.

My foot is still bumming me out a bit though?

Any way - Merry Christmas Team.

KC

PS - if you look close enough I think that is Coach sitting in that sleigh getting pulled around and are those Cervelo S5's?

that course looks crazy!  especially the "m" out+back before the finish.  The GW bridge looks like more fun than the 2nd st bridge in Louisville.

Dave - I need to be better than 3:10 to qualify.  most likely 2-5 minutes faster with the new application rules.  It will be a stretch, but I will see what I can do.  Toledo's course has a lot less climb, and a 5 mile downhill finish.

Brian - that is awesome you are gonna try and qualify for Boston!  Good luck!

Dave - The Triathlon Report is slow and steady.  I am getting anywhere from 8 to 20 people a day visiting the site but it has been slowly picking up.

KC - Good news from the Chiro.  I have a feeling that if you train right, seven months from now you will be a completely different person for the better , not for the worse.

So I am going to the Doc on Tuesday but I guess I don't feel so bad now since my co-worker got his results back and found out he has Leukemia.  Really scary but I guess that is why we do these screening right?

Hope everyone has a great X-mas!

Hi everyone, I guess I was late to the mentor party as they still have not released us.  Once the others fill up we will get released.

No problem Coach. Did you see the IM NYC Race info they posted on the site? Breaks down the timelines for the week, transition access etc.

Tim, thanks  and that is what I am planning on and sorry to hear about your co-worker.

We have cancer, cancer doesn't have us.  Good luck to your friend Tim.

Merry Christmas.  I'm not Christian, but I love your Christ.  And I don't care what other people think of Christmas. What's important is that I know what Christmas is about.  Spiritual rebirth, spiritual victory over death.  From darkness, light.  Winger turns to spring and all that.

How is everyones Christmas eve?  We had our spin class today so now I won't feel guilty about a few beverages and too much food tonight at my families party! lol    Everyone be safe and start thinking about goals for January.  I say a challenge will have to be put out there!

Who knows if we will ever go in the new mentor forums as they don't seem to be filling up very fast which is OK with me but it might be nice to get a couple new people for added motivation.
