Comments: I swear the course is different than when I did it a few years ago. I do not remember all those hills. It was mostly a good day despite the rain. It would drizzle for a while then the skies would open up, then it would stop. I started feeling the blisters at mile 7 but there was nothing I could do at that point. I had to walk a couple of times of the last 2 big hills and was pretty disappointed with that. What would you do differently?: Run more. Post race
Warm down: Took off my shoes at home and my sock from my right foot was soaked with blood. Then I noticed trhat the blood had soaked through the shoe and the whole right side was soaked with blood form the inside out. What limited your ability to perform faster: Just my training. I started waking up at 4:30 until my alarm went off at 6. Hearing the rain pouring through the gutters really had me considering turning off the alarm and skipping the race altogether. I didn't. Woke up, ate a muffin, had a cup of coffee and left.
