Pre-race routine:

Got to the event about a half hour before the start. Just relaxed and hit the porta potty a couple of times. The event gun went off as I was leaving the porta potty the 2nd time.
Event warmup:

I walked about a half mile from the car to the event start and then did some light stretching.

Comments:

Run felt awesome! Pace was perfect! Negative Split!

I started at the back of the pack and was weaving through people for the first couple of miles. I didn't waste too much energy doing so though. I don't remember being passed much at all the entire race and towards the end I was passing a lot of people. My pace didn't slow one bit. I actually was able to pick up the pace for the last 6 miles.
What would you do differently?:

Not a thing.

Warm down:

Just some light stretching and a little walking while I was waiting for my dad and my wife to finish the race.

Event comments:

Overall and awesome race and an awesome performance. I will probably be back again next year.

Course: The course is a nice out and back along Lake Michigan. It is nice and flat. The temperature outside was perfect for a fast run.
