Comments: Broke down mentally after 10 mi. Couldn't seem to persevere through the last parts that really get tough. What would you do differently?: Make sure I follow a better training plan, and be sure to prepare with more long runs. I think I cheated myself this time because I really didn't run that many long ones. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Mental strength (as always). Gotta figure that part out. I'd like to drop about 10-15 lbs too, so I can be a lightweight rocket :) Event comments: This race is great. That's why I keep coming back! Last updated: 2011-05-22 12:00 AM

Wake up @ 4:30 am, got ready and went down to motel lobby for some breakfast. Dropped off at bus stop @ 5:30 am. Rode the bus up to the start and arrived @ 6:15 am. Took the time to try and find some friends at the start. Only bumped into one person I knew. Listened to some energetic music 10 min prior to race.
Walk/pace back and forth around start area to warmup the legs. Ran about 1/2 mile back and forth about 10 min before race, with some light stretching.
