I make the best KLP, both traditional, and chocolate crust.

It is best served shortly after a fried grouper sammich, ( with homemade tartar, and a Red Stripe.)

That is all.

Excellent. I'll be showing up in about 40 hours or so.

Do you have a wife? Should I bring her a present to smooth the way? It can be a little awkward when strange women you meet on the Internet show up for dinner.

Yeah, she might just be relieved that I became some other woman's "problem."  Tongue out

Drooling here.......   gonna stop on the way home and pick up graham crackers, key lime and Borden's condensed milk.  Red Stripe too.  Not sure I can find fresh grouper on short notice and this time of year.   Might have to make do with some other fish.

tri42 - 2011-05-30 3:44 PM LOL... didn't know the thread would end up going in this direction.

I think this proves that triathletes are more interested in food than sex

CLASSIC !

I'd protest, but if you put a piglet and a Pop Tart in front of me, gee, guess which one I'd eat first.

Ok Yanti, I wholeheartedly agree with you here!!! (On the protesting part

And George Costanza did try to combine the 2 ... it didn't work out too well. Of course not much he did, did. lol

Went offshore this past weekend. Tried for some Grouper while we were out there, but could not get the baits down past all of those "endangered, nearly extinct" Red Snapper, that just happened to be out of season. Releasing them did really good, at least for the porpoises, anyway.  I'll be going back next week ( Snapper Season comes in tomorrow, plus I'll know to carry larger baits to get to the Grouper. Think I'll make or carry a Key Lime pie for when we get back to shore.

I'm partial to amberjack myself.   Most of my fishing is done with a spear.  I have been known to use a  shorty pneumatic spear gun, but my favourite weapon of choice is a pole spear.    It makes selection of species and size a breeze.   Of course, it is with using scuba gear and these big fish like deeper water than can not be reached using a snorkel.

Keeping me on my soapbox eh. Amberjack goes OUT on June first ( comes back in August 1st. )

We didn't want to target AJ's this past weekend for fear of parking lot situations on the public numbers. The spot we were catching all the Snapper and Kings was...knock on wood...private numbers. Best part was, we didn't see another boat all day, so hopefully no one saw us and got the #'s

I LOVE jigging for AJ's, I also like hammering down the drag on a reel with a good stout rod, and putting newbies on some reef donkies, with a big live frisky bait. It's fun to have to grab 'em by their belt loop as they start going over the side.

I need to re-cert in SCUBA and start diving again...

This song by Kenny Chesney has been out for years but I just heard the entire song for the first time today

I just learned of the existence of the song today from this thread. I hope I never hear the entire song. Or any portion of the song.

But I do like a real Key Lime pie

Both kinds of key lime pie CAN be great.

DitchDoc,

I suppose you are staging out of PC?    I usually go to Dauphin Island or Gulf Shores.    I have four day weekends this summer.  All my classes are Tuesday/Thursday.  Can sortie out on Thursdays around 2:00ish.   Makes for a 4 1/2 day weekend.   Methinks I will make the trip every two or three weeks.    Gotta get the scuba equipment checked out.  New O rings for the regulator and BCD, and visuals on the tanks.   Got the camping gear and will haunt the state parks.

Ah, summers......   Cool
