Comments: This is an expert trail. I've been told we were pretty brave/stupid to try this. It was a blast in the daylight, but totally terrifying at night. There are large dropoffs down the sides of the hill, and single track is tough enough when you do have traction. I had very little in the dark. What would you do differently?: Know how to ride a mountain bike. Have grippier tires. Post race
Warm down: Go home and sleep after the dark lap. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not knowing how to ride a mountain bike (in the dark especially). Event comments: Very fun, but I'm nowhere near ready to do this sort of thing again. Last updated: 2011-05-30 12:00 AM

No idea how to mountain bike, so this was a learning experience.
I ran the LeMans-style starting lap for our team. Turned in a 5:30-ish .4 mile run, then tagged Mark for him to start the first lap.
