Swim
Comments: I didn't feel slow during the swim, but my time is slow so I don't know what happened. I think it is a combo of the course was long and the chop was higher than normal due to the wind. started in 6th of 8 waves What would you do differently?: real early in season, not enough OWS practice beforehand. wear the dang wetsuit! if for nothing else I would have been warm sitting on the beach waiting to start! Transition 1
Comments: As usual, the big hill was a killer. Ran it as best I could. What would you do differently?: i guess the hill ain't moving, so i better learn how to run hills faster. Bike
Comments: felt strong, passed hundreds. only passed by 5-6 ladies. only obstacles to improvement were the numbers of people (and cars at times) I had to pass. Up some of the hills they would be 4 wide with ladies in various stages of slowing down or walking. Starting in the back of a heavy beginner friencly race sucks! What would you do differently?: nothing, 2 minutes faster bike than last year. Transition 2
Comments: ran all the way thru the huge transition area, gloves off fairly easily for once. Run
Comments: good run for me. felt like I still had plenty of energy after getting off the bike. was able to run much faster than i did last year. 2 minutes faster run than last year. What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: walked around, ate, waited forever to get my bike out of transition. What limited your ability to perform faster: My goal was 1:49, did 1:52. Bike and run was faster than last year. Missed goal solely due to slow swim. Need to work on swim! Last updated: 2011-05-31 12:00 AM
