STILL very vivid in my mind...

Blackfoot and Krocus (sp?) - Twisted Sister was the opening act... 1982 - Los Angeles Poladium
(also one of the first concerts filmed for MTV)

I was 7 on summer vacation w/ mom and sister visiting my uncle who was a music promoter.
We got to tour the MTV recording trailer that was outback.
A few parts I'll never forget...
- My mom commenting that Twisted Sister was the ugliest bunch of whores she'd ever seen as my uncle walked over to the limo to introduce us, LOL!
- Going to the bathroom seeing the lady sprawled out on the steps in her biker vest w/ tattoo's ALL over and all the girls in the bathroom w/ 12 inch colored spiked hair  (and to think my mom didn't want us using the bathroom backstage b/c of the all the "drugged up groupies and band members"   )

I envy you.

For a couple dozen things, I'm sure.

In 74 and 75 I caught seperate shows by Zeppelin, Clapton, and Harrison.

I have a friend my age whose older sister dragged him to the 1964 Beatles concert at City Park in New Orleans.

I saw Zeppelin in '78. Love their music but was not impressed at all by that show.

Not my first though; saw Three Dog Night at the Lincoln Center in the early '70s. My father took me and my 4 siblings. Probably the coolest thing my very uncool dad ever did. I miss him.

Very cool man!  I can still remember General Admission to see that show was 25 freaking dollars!  Can you imagine???  I'll never forget how awesome that day was.

How about what could have happened?

Anybody else have tickets for their first concert...and it got cancelled?

My first concert was supposed to be Skid Row with Pantera opening.  The show was cancelled.

Queen 1975, I was 12.  My uncle was a taxi driver and got tickets as a tip from a roadie.  He took me and my cousin.  Was one of those life-changing experiences as I had no idea that kind of music existed.  Sigh, saw them about 20 times after that.
