Event warmup:

did not get to warm up much, my original number was missing with my chip. so they had to sort that out and get me entered with a new number. this took some time. by the time I got my transition set up it was 15 minutes to start. I got in some strecthes and a short 200 swim. No bike or run.
Swim
  • 30m 24s
  • 1500 meters
  • 02m 02s / 100 meters
Comments:

swim was good had one navigation error in the first 300 corrected and was smooth after that.
What would you do differently?:

continue to work on navigation.

going to get a wetsuit.
Transition 1
  • 01m 25s
Comments:

transition was good, I was not trying to make this one super fast. after the beach run out you had to get your feet washed off.
What would you do differently?:

nothing.
Bike
  • 1h 15m 36s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 19.72 mile/hr
Comments:

bike was good, no issues and I pushed it pretty hard in the heat.
What would you do differently?:

a little more training time to get my speed up some more.
Transition 2
  • 00m 51s
Comments:

I had a racer crash his dismount in front of me, i had to get around him to get the the dismount line but it was not a big issue. transition was fast.
What would you do differently?:

nothing.
Run
  • 49m 53s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 08m 02s  min/mile
Comments:

I felt really good on the run but could not get my legs to turn over any faster. I am a little disappointed my pace could have been about 7:45. Just could not get there.
What would you do differently?:

I am not for sure, just run faster.
Post race
Warm down:

walking, and stretching. drank 24 oz gatorade and waters.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

took 42 minutes off my last oly time.

Event comments:

I thought the race instruction was very good and transition set up, and organization was the best i have seen. Overall they did a great job keeping up safe.
