Might as well start this thread. Lets talk about how cold the water is, when the roads will open and how hot the run will be!

Should be a great race!

usually can't wait for races, but for this one, I will gladly wait a couple more weeks!!

I was just down there for memorial day to train...it snowed.

It has been a long winter. I'm doing Boise 70.3 this weekend and the water will be colder than the last several PC weekends. I'm pretty hopeful for warmer weather.

I'm still experimenting with my gearing for the bike. I have a new bike and looking at a replacement cassette. My front is a 54/42 w/ a 12-25 on the back. Considering a 12-27 and FSA 130mm 50/39. In the past, I used a compact with a 12/25 which worked well won't work on this bike.

Looking forward to the race this weekend. Good to hear that they will have a swim area on Friday. I haven't bothered in the past but will probably swim a bit after dropping off the bike at t1 on Friday.

Should be interesting to see walls of snow at the summit.

I feel like I'm just posting for myself but I feel better just writing--- the water is 60 degrees. Will be a Goldberg but fast run.
