Pre-race routine:

I SOOOOOO did not want to get out of bed at 5:45. Almost all night I had an internal debate with myself but I needed to run at any rate and better to do it in a nice park than in downtown Denver or a treadmill.

Comments:

Well they have this fun run at this meeting every year. Last year I got to the meeting too late to do it. Lots of people ran this year. I knew I would be slow. I think the altitude effected me some. My airway was burning the first mile and didn't really stop. There were hills......well hills for me. Ran it on a 3:1 run:walk. I was hoping for sub 33 but after a while I mostly just wanted to survive

What would you do differently?:

At altitude on a 3:1 run walk on some hills with maybe 20 miles of running the last 3 months I really can't complain. I'm slow. I accept this.

Altitude, lack of sleep, lack of running mileage

Event comments:

Its fun to get out of the hotel and go run somewhere nice in a city you don't know. Also nice its booked as a run/walk so at least I am not last cause there are walkers :)
