You will not be able to swim on your own.  The beach is closed for the summer.

got an email today stating that there are no onsite shower facilities for post race rinse off (although there is a large body of water nearby)... it was a longshot but no big deal

I will be there late this evening.  My husband is a college football referee and he is going to be dropping me off for swim practice at 9:00 tomorrow morning and then leaving for his game.  A couple of questions for those who have done this race before...

1. Will there be a place for me to stash my bike and bag from 9:00 until when transition opens at noon while I am swimming and at the expo?

2. Do you actually have to enter the park to get to the expo and transition and race meetings, or is this all taking part at the hotel?

3. Where is the hotel in relationship to the park?

4. Is anyone else staying at the Best Western Plus that is about 4 miles from the park?  I need a ride back to the hotel in the afternoon tomorrow.

Thanks in advance!

How did everyone do?

This was my first half and  I wanted to break 6 hours.  I finished at 5 hr 38 min and change.  Very, very excited and a sore today!  Great event also.  I really enjoyed the atmosphere at this race.  Nice swim after you got past the black sludge, nice bike course and run course also.

DItto - this was my first 70.3 with a goal to break 6.0 - finished in 5:47.  I am a very slow runner, but that sun i think slowed me down even a little more.  Great race.  Worse part of the day for me was the 4 hour drive home to Grand Rapids

I had a great race at Cedar Point, loved the course and the Rev3 organization.  This was a new 1/2 Ironman Personal Record for me!

Getting to run through the finish line with my niece in one hand and the American Flag in the other was pretty sweet.

I'm signed up for the Rev3 Anderson 1/2 with a friend who will be doing her first 1/2 and only 3rd triathlon ever, so I'm excited to see how she does!

I hope everyone is recovering well!
